Just ahead of discount retailer Dollar General announcing the opening of its 19,000th location, Dollar General stores across Ohio temporarily shut down early on Jan. 27, an action the state’s attorney general said was taken to re-tag product prices amid ongoing issues with the retailer’s pricing. WebDollar Treeis the latest retailer to announce that they are closing hundreds of stores in the United States. Last year, Dollar Tree closed 85 of its locations. In 2024, they plan to close as many as 390 locations. Three years ago, Dollar Tree bought out Family Dollar and it has not really been worth it for the franchise.
